InsMorLo.com (IML) name comes from first letters of Insurance, Mortgage and Loans. The website name speaks by itself. We are news and stories curator media. IML has been launched at the end of 2016 as publication to cover stories from the above mentioned industries and other related topics and news. Our objective is to offer perspective to individuals and small business.
We define credibility as a fundamental asset of InsMorLo.com, as it is of any well-established, responsible media publication. To preserve IMLs credibility, our content editors are instructed that they have responsibility recognize genuine information from fake news and press releases, to avoid conflicts of interest of any kind, and intentionally or unintentionally to commit to activity that would compromise IML business integrity.
IML Publishing Guidelines
Our editors are committed to approach every piece of information and news item fairly and open minded, without prior judgment. Readers should expect InsMorLo.com to represent different points of view and opposing views on the topics, if any.
Our editors do not have an obligation to publish text of press releases directly as they are sent to us or published though any news agencies or other media channels.
IML would consider publishing corrections and/or clarifications on any content coverage shortly after any would come to our attention. Any clarifications and corrections we receive have to be clear and informational. We expect them to be easy to read for our INM users.
InsMorLo.com publisher and editors are not involved by any means into financial industry or into any industries covered by IML. Therefore we pledge that we are not into conflicts of interests of any kind.
When we publish news, stories, analysis or opinions expressed by a person or entity involved in any of the industries that we cover, we state clearly and in details this person’s name and involvement into any particular business and/or an industry niche.
IML editor’s team believes that practice of taking someone else’s work or ideas and passing them off as one’s own is immoral and one of the media’s worst wrongdoings. It is a policy of InsMorLo.com to give credit to media and posts that develop stories. Therefore an attribution of material from such media sources is a must. They shall be always quoted and respected by our editors.
As IML is a news and stories curator, sometimes we de not separate the news items from the commentary and editorials. However, our subjective material – opinions, editorial or other similar piece of content – is marked clear in the content and does not tweak or change any facts used in the news.
We believe that “telling the facts” must be the primary objective of any media source, despite that many publications do not apply it. IML team is committed to its readers and to the general public, not to the private interests of our editor. Despite that we make money from advertisers, we understand that ads are supplemental to the quality content, which must be useful for our readers and should serve them, not our advertisers or advertising agencies we partner with.
Best Media Standard & Social Media Practices
As an online post that operates in the era of Social media and content driven by users who are not professional journalists and therefore are not bound by any journalist standards we acknowledge the need of publicly recognized media standards and practices. IML’s team supports and complies to “10 Best Practices for Social Media” written by James Hohmann of Politico and organized by 2010-11 Ethics and Values Committee, designed as a framework to help editors form their own policies. Those we apply are:
- Traditional ethics rules apply online
- Assume everything you write online will become public
- Beware of perceptions
- Independently authenticate anything found on a social networking site
- Always identify yourself as a journalist
- Be transparent and admit when you’re wrong online
